Everyone has a unique story that deserves to be told. Perhaps I am the right person to hear yours…

Hi, I’m Sara— and I’m so glad that you’re here!

Making the decision to seek help is a brave and empowering step. I know that finding the right therapist can sometimes feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to help make this process feel safe, supportive, and grounded in trust.

I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be seen and heard — a space to explore, grow, and evolve. Through a holistic and person-centered approach, my hope is that together we can create that space for you.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with both a Bachelor’s in Psychology (2016) and a Master’s in Social Work (2019) from North Carolina State University (Go Pack!). Over the past several years, I’ve worked across multiple levels of care, including psychiatric inpatient, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with school social workers, medication management providers, the Department of Social Services, and a wide range of community-based services (IOP, day treatment, in-home therapy, and PHP programs).

While I welcome individuals across the lifespan, my expertise lies in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. My approach is eclectic and individualized, drawing from a range of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Circle of Security, and Solution-Focused Therapy to best support each client’s unique goals and experiences.

Some of the areas I specialize in include:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • ADHD and mood disorders

  • Life transitions

  • Attachment and relational issues

Wherever this journey takes you, know that you don’t have to walk it alone. At Evolving Mindsets, PLLC, we’re here to help you take that first step forward. Your story is uniquely yours — and if you choose to share it, I’d be honored to hold space for every word, every pause, and every turning page.

What Is The Story Behind ‘Sarapy’?

The conception of Sarapy came from one of my early clients—a young guy who was totally anti-therapy. And honestly, I get it—therapy isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time (I mean, who wants to dig into their feelings on a Tuesday?). We were joking around about what we could call our sessions instead, something a little less “therapy” and a little more fun. His mom chimed in and said, “How about Sarapy?”—and it just stuck. Years later, what started as a joke has become the go-to nickname for therapy with Sara.
